The Nigeria Under-17 starlet made his mark at the U-17 World Cup earlier this year, scoring 10 goals in 7 games to help the Golden Eaglets win the tournament, while also wining the Golden Boot trophy at the tournament.

Victor Osimhen, was born on Dec 29, 1998 in Lagos, Nigeria and currently plays for Nigeria U23. He was the star of the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile and has been a subject of transfer speculations to various European clubs. Osimhen 16,  stole the show at the global fiesta with his record-breaking tenth goal of the tournament – Chile 2015.

It is important to note that with the victory, Nigeria has won the title five times and the Nigerian Golden Eaglets became only the second side to retain the FIFA U-17 World Cup with a 2-0 win against Mali in Vina Del Mar. Nigeria won in 1985, 1993, 2007, 2013, and recently in 2015. The Nigerian team won the maiden edition of FIFA U-17 World Cup in 1985 in China, the fifth edition of the tournament in 1993 in Japan, the twelfth edition of the tournament in 2007 in South Korea,the fifteenth held in the United Arab Emirates 2013 and again the sixteenth in Chile 2015.
