BBC weather presenter faints live on air, apologizes first
BBC weather girl Rachel Mackley fainted on air, seconds after telling producers, ‘I’m so sorry, I’m going to faint.’
The 33-year-old mother-of-one was advising viewers of the upcoming forecast for the south east of the country when she paused and began stumbling backwards.
The cameras quickly cut to the news hosts, Polly Evans and Rob Smith, who both looked concerned for their colleague as she uttered ‘I’m so sorry’ once again.
‘Quick, quick chaps,’ said Rob, motioning to Rachel and looking as if he was planning on jumping up to check on her himself.
‘We just need to have a check on Rachel there,’ said a shocked Polly.
The BBC South East news team later tweeted out that Rachel was ‘up on her feet and will be absolutely fine’, while both Polly and Rob confirmed the news.
‘She’s doing ok thanks – a bit shaken – but good now,’ Polly told a concerned viewer.
